Carmen Mensink, renowned painter of thangkas (Tibetan scroll paintings of Buddhas and mandalas) welcomes you in her home in Amsterdam to explain about this beautiful ancient art, by showing you some of her drawings and paintings, and explaining the depth behind it.
Carmen teaches workshops, retreats and lectures on the art of thangka (as well as Buddhist meditation and philosophy) at museums, universities, and buddhist centers in Europe, the US and Asia. She's also the founder of the online School for Tibetan Buddhist Art.
