surprisingly, i'm still a little sick. I thought i'd be all better by now, but my body seems to have really enjoyed taking all those extra naps and doesn't want to stop, so now I'm just taking extra long daily naps hehehehe


you guys wanna know the funniest story ever omg omg.
so yesterday, my mind was going crazy. I'd been home-ridden cause of the fever and I had enough and wanted to leave the house. so i took a train and went for a day out. i had a plan for a day out where I'd go out for a few hours, eat by myself, walk around the park, go to the mosque then come home.
when i was leaving the mosque, an older uncle approached me. i was wearing really bad shoes. however, these were gifted to me by someone who's very close to me. i wear those shoes to remember them by and the shoes are incredibly special. but they look horrible and are kinda ripped up... lol.
the uncle saw my shoes and he pulled me to the side and said, "hey, you know there's a lost and found area for shoes, but no one has ever collected them. so we leave them incase someone ever needs shoes. i saw yours and wanted to take you and you can select any shoes you want to keep."
i was like awwww that's so sweet of you, but i'm okay, i wear these shoes cause they were gifted to me.
he was very sweet but adamant, and i realised he thought i was very poor and just didn't want to be embarrassed. he was such a sweet uncle, he offered to take me to shops and buy me shoes and i had to really try and get him to understand that im just chopped, not poor😭😭
it was so funny but omds i've never felt so embarrassed before. i told my mom and she laughed so much and said i deserved it for wearing ripped shoes lol.
the unc was so sweet tho, my man literally offered to give me a £100 for shoes. he was like i'll get u the exact airforces, don't worry.
anyway, thats why ive got new shoes now haha.
growing up, i never spent a lot of money on shoes. my parents would tell me that anything that costs more than £30 is unnecessarily expensive, so id always get the cheapest shoes.
now that im older and have adult money, i still have that "thing" with me and i find it so weird if I spend a lot on shoes. it seems so wrong. but shoes have become so expensive now that you can't even get a cheap pair for under £40. yesterday, i broke that streak and decided to buy 2 pairs of "expensive" shoes and i have them currently in my shoe rack, but i really don't want to wear them😂😂 they're too expensive and i don't wanna ruin them lmaooooo.
y'all ever copped Temu shoes tho? the quality sucks ass but ngl the price is amazing😂i used to go around wearing Temu shoes and sneakerheads would be like yooo those r sick, what are those? and i was like dw they're Asian exclusive, you wouldn't find them here and ppl would think i had really expensive shoes, but they were £15 shoes off of temu😂😂😂
