Here's a pointless comparison between the pickups I have access too. I'n surprised just how similar they all are despite being different woods, pickups, pickup heights, neck joints, fingerboards, bridges, etc. Maybe none of those things matter as much as we might think.
I would love to do a scientific experiment to test my hypothesis but I lack the resources - mostly time - to do this.
It's also worth noting that I volume matched each pickup as they all had different output levels.
