Carmageddon is a series of computer games in the genres of arcade racing and survival racing. The series includes 4 games, the first of which was released in 1997, and the last - Carmageddon: Max Damage - in 2016.

The first game in the series was released in 1997. A year later, a sequel titled Carmageddon II: Carpocalypse Now followed. Both games were developed by Stainless Games. In 2000, Carmageddon TDR 2000 was released, which was developed by Torus Games. In 2011, Stainless Games bought the rights to the series from its former owner, Square Enix, and began developing a new game. Carmageddon: Reincarnation was released in early Steam access in 2014, and a full release took place in 2015. In 2016, this game was released on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles with the subtitle Max Damage and began to be distributed on PC under it. In 2018, THQ Nordic bought all the rights to the Carmageddon series from Stainless Games.
