From 1996, it's the original San Francisco Rush developed by Atari for the arcades.
Compared to the sequels, it's a very small game with only three tracks (Track 1 - Beginner, Track 2 - Advanced, Track 3 - Extreme) and eight selectable vehicles. Also when a race begins, music doesn't play until you press the Music button to select the song (six tunes by the way) you want to hear.
Even though it is the first game in the Rush series by having those small caveats, it's surprisingly still holds up as being a fun racing game for a 1996 arcade release. This game was going up against other titles in 96' like SEGA Super GT, Cruis'n World, GTI Club, Dirt Dash, WaveRunner, and Super GT 24h.
But anywho, here's a full playthrough of all three courses in the arcade version of San Francisco Rush: Extreme Racing played and recorded in MAME 0.261 with my Xbox One controller, enjoy!
