This is a 1987 Jeep Comanche SporTruck. It has the AMC 4.0L Engine, Peugeot BA 10/5 5 Speed Manual Transmission, NP231 Transfer Case, Dana 35 Rear Axle and Dana 30 Front Axle. It is the Long Wheelbase configuration with a 7 foot bed. I bought it with 115,000 miles, and in this video series, I plan to restore this truck to the best of my ability.

After replacing the fuel pump, I drove the truck for about 45 minutes before the new fuel pump died. My neighbor recommended cleaning the ground for it, as a pump without a good ground will draw more amps, become hot, and if its not submerged in a tank of gas, it overheats and burns up.
