In this video the MR2 build finally takes a big step forward. I start by painting the rust repairs I carried out in the previous episode, getting the shell protected and ready for the next stage.

Then it’s time for the big job, fitting a Saab B204 engine into the MR2. I position the engine, fabricate custom engine mounts completely from scratch, and slowly bring the swap to life.

Once everything is mounted, I move on to wiring the engine up and preparing it for its first ever start in the MR2. This is the moment of truth… does the engine actually run, and is it healthy?

The end goal? To build an MR2 that’s fast enough to embarrass a Lamborghini, but first, we need to hear this thing fire up.
