In this video we discuss emergency and preventive maintenance for your low pressure inflator hose. A low pressure inflator hose leak can come from the Schrader valve or a damaged o ring. We discuss how to remove and replace the Schrader valve and internal o ring. The replacement of the o ring can be very difficult. For this reason, several sources sell a special tool to make this process easier. This video describes the use of a readily available $0.30 stainless steel round head #8 x 1 inch machine bolt instead of a special tool. The locking collar on the quick disconnent may also be difficult to operate. This may be solved by cleaning and lubricating the collar mechanism.
