Amy Mauritz is a Cape Town based DJ whose style transcends the typical boundaries of house music and its sub-genres. Despite her fairly recent debut, Amy has quickly made a notable impact. Known for her ability to energise the dance floor while also creating spaces for thoughtful listening, Amy’s sets are a journey through a vast array of sounds that reflect her eclectic taste.

In addition to her DJ work, Amy runs her own event called Sounds Of The Sun, which showcases a diverse selection of jazz, broken beat, electronica, disco, house music and more. This event is unique in that it invites not just DJs but also music enthusiasts to showcase their collections, fostering a community where a shared love for music can thrive.

Deeply influenced by the vibrant dance floors and creative hubs of the Mother City, Amy developed a profound appreciation for the art of DJing and quietly envisioned her own place in the scene. Her thoughtful and diverse selections have earned her spots at some of Cape Town’s most notable events and festivals, including Keinemusik CPT, LightHouse Festival, Slow Down, Bazique Festival, Smalltown Beat, We House Sundays, and Search Festival.
