Hi everyone! Here is a video on how to disassemble and clean a Lewmar 40 winch. Each winch varies but the process of disassembly and cleaning is the same for each winch - just requires a bucket, cloths, brake cleaner, and dirty hands! For tougher stains, use diesel for cleaning instead of brake cleaner, then acetone to remove the diesel and soak in vinegar for the extra cleaning (dispose your waste through proper marine standards and procedures).
