35 bucks for the most advanced 1st person science and engineering action survival simulator - but you're hesitant, because you've heard the game is hard to get into. Actual atmospherics simulation, with pressure, phase change, various gasses, combustion, real refrigeration cycle, ... but the interface supposedly sucks! Well, take a look here, how to get in and play the game, and what interface acrobatics you'll have to do.
I, and many other players, have thousands of hours in this game - the basic knowledge and the interface are total sleepwalking for us - and so it can be for you. The door says "STAY OUT!" - the living room says "NEVER LEAVE!"
The average play"through" (If there is such a thing, in a game where you can just keep building and perfecting meaningfully engineered living structures.) lasts at least a hundred hours, and the replay value of Stationeers is the HIGHEST you've seen - probably. So very dynamic. So many things you'll wanna try differently. And what about doing all this on an ice world? Or a fire world orbiting a black hole? Really ... 35 bucks? That's three pizzas. Also ... think of all the games you will NOT buy, because you'll still be busy with this one (and you WILL be)!
On ITCH.IO, you get a download, an extra Steam key, and the devs get 90% of the cash: https://rocketwerkz.itch.io/stationeers
On Steam, you get greater version-choosing convenience, and your review will count for the overall score (doesn't if the ITCH key is used instead), but the devs only get 50% (fees and refunds): https://store.steampowered.com/app/54...
