Norwegian Breakaway | Mediterranean Cruise Day 7 | Naples | Pompeii | Red, White and British

Welcome to Day 7 of our 11 day holiday on board Norwegian Cruise Line's Breakaway cruise ship!

We're Bob and Moose, a couple of Disney-obsessed adventurers from Yorkshire, UK, who just love to get out and about and explore! 👀

On the cruise, we travelled to: Cannes, Livorno (Florence), Civitavecchia (Rome), Naples (Pompeii), Ibiza and Palma de Mallorca. We started and ended the trip in the stunning city of Barcelona!

On Day 7, we started the day with breakfast at the Garden Cafe buffet, before taking our NCL bus to Pompeii. We used the 'Pompeii on Your Own' bus tour organised by NCL. Once at Pompeii, we bought the audio guides that allow you to tour the sights of Pompeii at your own pace. We explored the ampitheatre, many of the houses and streets, and lots of the street-side amenities such as the bakery. It is such an amazing place!

Sadly, our time in Pompeii was shorter than we expected it would be, so once again...we found ourself running to ensure we got back to our bus on time! When we arrived back at the port, we ventured into Naples to see the city. We looked around some of the shopping districts and soaked up the vibes of the city.

Naples was incredibly busy and there was a strong police presence in the city, so we headed back onto the ship for lunch at the Garden Cafe buffet. We relaxed on the ship for the afternoon and took part in yet another couple of brilliant Cruise Staff trivias. We watched the sailaway before returning to the buffet for some dinner, and then finishing the night watching the excellent 'Red, White and British' in the Breakaway Theatre.
