Iron Leather At Home - A Dry Cleaners Guide

You CAN iron leather at home (this will not work for suede or nubuck)!

To do this get your iron super hot, put a clean towel or sheet in-between the iron and your leather garment, and press hard. Steam WILL ruin leather so ensure that there is absolutely no water in your iron or steam coming out. Us dry cleaners use something called a hot head, which is a large metal plate, to iron leather (there is no steam, only heat and pressure).

Don’t forget to condition your leather once a year too! Leather is skin and likes to stay hydrated ;)
