🙏 Cultural Significance During the Kusu Pilgrimage Season
Every year during the ninth lunar month (typically between September and November), thousands of devotees travel to Kusu Island for the Kusu Pilgrimage. This event honors Da Bo Gong (Tua Pek Kong), a deity believed to bring wealth and protection, and Na Tuk Kong, a Malay shrine dedicated to local Malay saints.

Temporary stalls and altars are set up.
Special ferry services operate more frequently.
The island is transformed into a vibrant hub of prayers, offerings, and rituals.
Visitors of all faiths are welcome to observe and participate respectfully—it's a rare window into Singapore's multicultural spiritual heritage.
