The longest railway bridge in the Netherlands: Den Bosch - Dordrecht CABVIEW HOLLAND FLIRT 21/12/21

It is freezing -5 degrees Celsius and the frost on the catenary has now disappeared so that we can leave for the Moerdijk railway bridge without any problems. The first railway bridge on this site was opened in 1872. It was blown up by the Nazis in 1944. The current bridge was opened in 1955 and has a total length of 1040 meters. However, this is the second longest railway bridge in the Netherlands. The longest one is located next to it: the Bridge Hollandsch Diep with a total length of 1992 meters, over which the high-speed line has been built. That bridge was opened in 2005. Enjoy watching!

Het vriest -5 graden Celsius en de rijp aan de bovenleiding is inmiddels weg zodat we zonder problemen richting de Moerdijkspoorbrug kunnen vertrekken. De eerste spoorbrug op deze plek is geopend in 1872. Deze werd in 1944 door de Nazi's opgeblazen. De huidige brug is in 1955 geopend en heeft een totale lengte van 1040 meter. Dit is de op één na langste spoorbrug van Nederland. De langste ligt er naast: de Brug Hollandsch Diep met een totale lengte van 1992 meter, waar de hogesnelheidslijn overheen is aangelegd. Deze brug is in 2005 geopend. Veel kijkplezier!
