The Allegro, from the Second Symphony (Op. 20) of Louis Vierne, recorded by Virgil Fox and released on the album "Virgil Fox at Home." An important note is that while the album jacket includes the stop list and images of Fox's organ from his home "Woodside" in Englewood, New Jersey, the recording was actually made on the 1941 Hammond Laboratories/Austin/Aeolian-Skinner (Opus 1028) organ in the Hammond Castle located in Gloucester, Massachusetts. According to a note about the album provided by Ray Correll and included on the Virgil Fox Legacy website (www.virgilfoxlegacy.org), "This recording of Virgil Fox 'at home' was actually made at the Hammond Castle. However, the Englewood home, organ stop list, and photos were used on the LP jacket because of problems Virgil was having at the Hammond Castle. This was told to me by Virgil himself when I was purchasing organ pipes from him, and grills from his floor that I now have in my home, from his Englewood house. Virgil always called me Little One, because I was just sixteen years old. My Father had driven me and the truck to East Palisade Avenue to pick everything up."
