Dr Julia Newth, WWT's resident swan scientist, brings us the latest news on Bewick's swan conservation. We join her by the Rushy lake at WWT Slimbridge to discuss the various threats facing Bewick's across their migration route to the Russian Arctic, and some of the work we've undertaken with the Swan Champions group to tackle some of these issues.
Dr Julia Newth is WWT's Principal Researcher for Ecosystem Health and Social Dimensions at WWT. Bewick's swan numbers are declining worldwide, and we want to find out why this is and how we can stop it.
