EP Preamp(carpet)
EP Preampは設計者の所有するMaestro Echoplex EP3のプリアンプを参考に開発されました。Echoplexペダルにありがちな、アウトプットバッファーや増幅回路の追加などは行わず、オリジナルに忠実な回路設計となっております。
Echoplexのプリアンプは信号を通すことでローミッドが増え、音に少しの厚みが生まれます。派手な味付けこそありませんが、常に掛けていたいと思えるようなちょうど良い塩梅の心地よさを持っています。
EP Preamp開発にあたり、オリジナルのEchoplexからパーツを取り外し計測しました。データシート上の数値ではなく、実測値に近い値を持ったパーツを選定し使用しております。他のEchoplexと同じトーンが出せているかどうかは分かりませんが、少なくとも設計者の所有しているEchoplexには限りなく近いトーンを持ったペダルが完成しました。

About The EP Preamp
The EP Preamp is based on the preamp from my own Maestro Echoplex EP3. And it uses the same circuit as the original, with no additional output buffers or amplification circuits. The Echoplex preamp adds low-mids and a bit of thickness to the sound when passed through them. It is not flashy, but it has just the right amount of comfort that makes you want to play it all the time.
I wanted to get more accurate data than what I could see on the data sheet, so I removed components from the original Echoplex and measured their values.
