In this video I tell you the story of how I took on the challenge of building more meaning into my work as a portrait photographer. I started by teaching myself a lot of techniques and did a lot of 'TFP' shoots with models and actors to gain a good skill base, but when my work started to feel as if it was stagnating, I took steps to change my context and subject matter in order to inject more meaning into the work I was doing. I hope that hearing my story will get you thinking about how you could progressively infuse the things you make with more meaning.
