First recording and video from the new house!

After my last Chrono Trigger harp cover, I wanted to explore the game's soundtrack some more and To Good Friends was recommended as one that would translate well to harp. The original features a lot of music box, which in my experience usually goes pretty well on the harp!

I did choose to play an octave down from the music box range, mostly because I thought it sounded a little thin on my harp. The other reason was that I wanted to make an intermediate-level arrangement, and playing that high can be quite challenging, especially in terms of making the phrasing sound nice and legato.

Like all of Mitsuda's compositions for Chrono Trigger, I loved the chords and harmonies he uses. It gives this one in particular a really nice nostalgic feeling :)

I've just sent the sheet music over to MusicNotes, so it should be up in a few days - intermediate pedal and lever harp versions, plus a beginner version. If you find the chords at the end of the intermediate version too difficult, just leave out the bottom notes of the chord and just play the top!
