Elephant- headed deity , that He is. And the ocean of compassion is Ganapathi.

'Kaakkum Deivam Ganapathi Vazhi Kaattum Deivam Ganapathi'
He is the Lord who protects. And the one who always guides.

'Uukkam nalkum Ganapathi Arivoottum Jnaana Ganapathi'
He blesses us with zeal, Bestows upon us true wisdom too.
