yesterday was also the birthday of our beloved Polish composer Krzysztof, who was a great conductor and violinist. He composed several soundtracks for films and television and won numerous medals and awards. He was also part of the orchestra for St. Luke's Passion (not the same one from "Unknown Performances", it's a different orchestra). The track on that album is a tribute to the victims of Hiroshima, and it's likely that the violin we hear on the track "Contemplation" is played by the violinist Wanda Wilkomirska.
