This is the longplay of the game Shadow of The Ninja, originally called Yami no Shigotonin Kage in Japan and Blue Shadow in Europe. It is an action and platform game released for the NES, produced and distributed by Natsume, released in 1990 in Japan and the United States and in 1991 in Europe (where it was distributed by Taito).

The plot takes place in 2029, when Emperor Garuda took control of the United States of America, building a fortress in the middle of New York. To stop Garuda and avenge the innocent lives that were lost under his reign, two ninja masters from the Iga clan, Lord Hayate and Lady Kaede, are sent to infiltrate Garuda's fortress, with the aim of destroying him and bringing peace to Garuda. return to Earth.

The player can choose between Hayate (ninja) or Kaede (kunoichi) and needs to go through several platform stages, full of enemies and traps, as well as sub-bosses and bosses. The heroes' weaponry includes the Katana sword and the Kurisagama spear, which have different attributes. While the Katana is a short-range but powerful weapon, the Kurisagama allows you to attack in several directions but with slightly less damage. By picking up several items in a row corresponding to the equipped weapon, it is possible to increase its power to fire projectiles. Ranged weapons include shurikens, kunais, and grenades.
