It's been a year since Miss Jacky Oh passed and DC Young Fly is still absolutely destroyed over her. He opened up about life without her. And y'all, it was sad. So, when that happened, I was like, "Okay, I done been through this before." All right, I know not to act like that cuz woo, that was I scared myself. It's been over a year since the tragic death of Miss Jacky Oh And while the world may have moved on for DC Young Fly, time has stood still. On an emotional episode of the Funky Friday podcast, he sat down to speak his truth. And baby, when I tell you this interview hit different. Whoa. It's not an easy process. It's not a cuz this is forever. I'm forever living this every day of my life. It's just how do I cope with something that I have to live with. Y'all, this was one of the most emotional interviews we've seen in a long time. From losing his girl to raising three kids without her, DC is showing a side we rarely get to see. raw, broken, but still standing. There's people who are suffering in silence. Mhm. That we know that we see on a daily basis. Okay, so let's rewind for a second. DC first experienced deep loss when he was just 16. Since then, the hits kept coming. Losing his cousin left him angry. His father's passing brought peace. When his best friend died, he was confused. But when Jacky Oh passed, he was shocked. dealing with death and dealing with loss is is something I'm pretty uh conditioned to. It's just the the the the the matter of the per the magnitude of the person. Though he was used to losing people and even said in another interview that he was numbed to death, but on the Freaky Friday podcast, he said he'd never dealt with a loss of that level before. Live with and this not my first time being uncomfortable. Uh but this the the first time of this stature of some of this situation. DC has opened up about this before. Sometime last year he told Tamron Hall that even then he still expected her to walk through the door at any moment saying it still felt like it was just a dream. It's hard every day still to this day. It's like it it feels like a dream. Feel like she's going to walk in. Y'all know Jacky Oh passed away mid last year after complications from a cosmetic procedure. The news shocked fans and shook the internet, especially since Jacky Oh had just posted days before smiling beside her surgeon, Dr. Zachary Okhah, excitedly teasing her mommy makeover reveal. But what was supposed to be a self globe turned into a nightmare no one saw coming. According to the autopsy obtained by Page 6, Jacky Oh underwent a glutial augmentation, commonly known as BBL. And while the surgery itself had no immediate complications, she began experiencing severe headaches days later. She followed up with the doctor, adjusted her medications, and even got a massage to ease the pain, but things went south fast. She reportedly said that she felt like her head was on fire and began slurring her speech. By the time emergency services arrived, it was already too late. The final autopsy revealed brain swelling and internal bleeding. Her death was ruled accidental, and the Miami Police Department has since announced that they will not be pursuing charges against Dr. Okhah. But that still hasn't stopped the internet from speculating, dragging the doctor for deleting Jacky Oh's photo from his page, and asking why more wasn't done. DC Young Fly revealed that the only thing that got him through the trauma was his faith, saying that his faith helped him shift perspective and see the positive in something so negative and heartbreaking. Stop crying. We supposed to be strong. We going to be all right. I said, that's the spirit letting me know that they on their way. They built for it. It's going to be hard. In the interview with Tamron Hall, he didn't point fingers at the doctors or anyone else for being the cause of Miss Jacky Oh's passing.
