Shiny Wailmer LIVE after 6163 fishings! - Pokémon Ruby (Team completed)

1. The story behind

More than 2 years ago (2018) I was looking for a shiny Wailmer for my Pokémon League team in Pokémon Ruby. Instead, I found a shiny Sharpedo, it was my first shiny Pokémon that I caught of all. As it was a tough search as it required to be quite attentive to the screen, when I captured Sharpedo I decided to leave the search for the moment and go for a shiny Snorunt first and then resume the quest for Wailmer. The quest for my shiny Snorunt turned out to be the longest I had ever had (~ 171,859 minimal encounters) until the quest for Absol. After 1 unforgettable year I finally got a shiny Snorunt. However, due to the "berry glitch" I knew that if I ever wanted to get the golden trainer card in Pokémon Ruby, I sadly had to start a new game from zero. After thinking it over, I did it. It was the best thing I could do and also, I had decided that the new game would be very different not only from my previous game but also from all the others that I did up to that moment.

I had a wonderful and legendary challenge ahead probably never seen or done. I got my starter Pokémon (Mudkip) and captured almost every different Pokémon I came across. I trained them (EV's) and did all the same quests that I had in my previous game (Taillow and Magnemite, except Snorunt), I kept in mind absolutely everything. Bit by bit, I was getting all the same shiny Pokémon that I wanted in the previous game in the new one. More than a year has passed since I started a new game again and finally, I managed to complete my Pokémon team for the Elite Four.

2. Daily goal (encounters)

On the first day of Wailmer's quest, I wanted to see how many encounters I could get, I hit 1000. Since I was quite sore, I knew I had to do less. Also I was playing in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team for another of my purposes and I wanted a balance between the two. From that day on, my goal was to make an average of 600 fishings a day and besides leveling up my Pokémon in Red Rescue Team. Right now I am leveling up a Seedot and Lotad with Articuno as the leader. Going back to the topic, I made 3 recordings of ~ 1'40 '' with the new battery and 3 recordings of between 20-25 '' with the old battery.

3. Thoughts

I am so happy that I finally completed my Pokémon Ruby team. It has been an intense search, fishing in Hoenn requires concentration, patience and being alert all time. Since I got the new battery, I can already record as in my beginnings. In fact I realized that I can record even longer than I thought, now together with the old battery, I can record up to around 1 hour and 40 minutes (FullHD 30p). I figured out that I could record 24 more minutes on the new battery, which is great but it also means that I am recording more time in an awkward position during that time. My neck and back end very tense after each recording.

It has been an incredible 2 years. Amazing things have happened to me. All the videos I could make are uploaded to the channel, I hope you like them. Now, I don't know how to train Wailmer being Careful nature 😅 but I'll see. Now what I have to do is upload this video and do what I told you. I will be a while without recording since I have a lot to do in Ruby, especially training and also, I cannot record in another game as you know, at the moment. I hope to record again as soon as possible and that my current situation improves to continue doing what I do.
