The WheelsTV POV of the Year award or “POVY” is presented annually to
one generation of pre-owned vehicle.
To qualify for POV of the Year, the vehicle must be in service for at least
two years and demonstrate outstanding long-term reliability and
exceptional consumer satisfaction.
The POV of the Year pits motor vehicles from nine very
different categories.
Categories include: Hybrid, Electric, SUV, Crossover, Sporty Car, Small
Car, Family Car, Light Truck and Luxury Vehicle. Members of the Selection
Committee present nominations for each category based on their
knowledge and experience.
Each category is considered separately, and a category winner is selected
by a majority vote, each selection committee member having one vote.
Nine finalists representing each Category are chosen.
The POVY award winner is chosen from this group of nine vehicles by
majority vote.
