Covid social distancing has put paid to having all of us in the bell-ringing chamber at one time, so for the 2020 Christmas Lessons and Carol service, we'll be doing something a little different.
The Ellacombe apparatus is a mechanism devised for performing change ringing on church bells by striking stationary bells with hammers.
At the end of this rehearsal, we took this rare opportunity to get some video footage of the bells in action, further up the tower.
