Making a Roller Speargun From Scratch! Part 1

In this video I'm making a NEW Wooden Speargun! I'm making a 90cm single roller Speargun, which for the UK is an absolute beast. This gun might be a little excessive for UK Spearfishing, but I'm going to build it anyway! This gun is for the days of great visibility or spooky fish that keep their distance. Follow me through this multi part series as I show you how I made my newest gun. I'll talk through the whole process and will be dropping useful hints and tips along the way.
In the first video I will be making the blank from a solid piece of timber. I will cut the stock into strips and glue them together, known as laminating. I square the stock by hand and then hang the blank up to age.
Once the blank is complete it is aged for several weeks and I start the handle. Much like with the blank, make another laminated stock from a very nicely coloured wooden board. Using a multitude of different tools I carve the handle out of a laminated stock of wood. Again I will talk through the whole process and you will see the end result which came out very nicely!
