The MVP Run Nobody Saw Coming...

Well, he's really gonna do it. At the age of 37, Matthew Stafford is going to win MVP for the Super Bowl favorite Los Angeles Rams, and for my money, this might be the most unlikely MVP of my lifetime. We've seen MVPs like Rich Gannon come out of nowhere before, but Stafford in the 2025-26 NFL season feels different. So in this video, I want to talk about how the Los Angeles Rams have become Super Bowl favorites, but more importantly, how Matthew Stafford took his career trajectory, from a stat-padding overrated mid-quarterback for the Detroit Lions, to a Super Bowl champion, and league MVP in the later years of his career. Thatsgoodsports found that the Denver Broncos made the NFL playoffs, but the NFL news gave the NFL MVP to Matthew Stafford, overtaking Drake Maye in the NFL power rankings.
