In 2018, Hyeree (@eggietable) and I started in the same cohort of a continuous MA-PhD program in English literature. Now, seven years later, we sit down to talk about what led us to pursue the PhD, our experiences in grad school including what we researched and how we made a living, and why ultimately she dropped out of the program while I stayed through to the end.
