I grew up believing that the Bible alone was the safest place to stand—and that no church or tradition could ever claim to have the fullness of the truth. For a long time, that felt faithful. Over time, it began to feel unstable.
In this video, I reflect on the question that quietly unraveled that framework: If Scripture is clear and sufficient on its own, why do sincere Christians reach such different conclusions—and what exactly am I submitting to when I say I submit to the Bible?
This isn’t an argument, and it isn’t a conclusion. It’s an honest admission that Scripture itself never assumes the reader is self-sufficient. Again and again, it shows understanding being received—not discovered in isolation.
