The Nailgun is one of the most slept-on weapons in all of ULTRAKILL. The Attractor does 2 damage less than its alternate, takes longer to fire, and has the exact same cooldown. The Overheat’s barrage does roughly half the damage of its alternate with the same cooldown, and the only Nailgun that’s widely accepted to be as good as or better than its alternate is the Jumpstart, since nails enable more powerful electric shocks from +Conductor. However, the Overheat Nailgun in particular has one overlooked synergy that can make it incredibly powerful, so obscure that it’s not even mentioned anywhere in-game as of Patch 16D.
