Field Marshal Asim Munir’s Powerful Warning | Afghanistan Given a Clear Choice

Pakistan’s Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has issued a strong and unambiguous message regarding terrorism and regional stability, stating that Afghanistan must choose between Pakistan and Fitna-al-Khawarij.

According to ISPR, the remarks were made during the National Ulema and Mashaykh Conference held in Islamabad on December 10, 2025, with participation from scholars and religious leaders of all schools of thought across Pakistan.

In his detailed address, Field Marshal Asim Munir spoke on national security challenges, terrorism, Pakistan’s global role, military preparedness, and the importance of knowledge and ideology. Quoting verses from the Holy Quran and classical poetry, he highlighted the spiritual and ideological foundations of Pakistan, drawing parallels between Riyasat-e-Madina and the State of Pakistan, both established in the holy month of Ramadan on the foundation of Kalima-e-Tayyaba.

He stated that Pakistan has been honored as the protector of the holy sites, while warning that terrorism backed by Afghan soil continues to target innocent Pakistani civilians and children. He emphasized that no individual or group has the authority to declare jihad in an Islamic state except the state itself.

The Field Marshal revealed that around 70% of terrorists involved in Fitna-al-Khawarij originate from Afghanistan, making it clear that Afghanistan must make a decisive choice. His remarks underline Pakistan’s firm stance against terrorism and foreign-backed militancy, reinforcing that national security remains non-negotiable.
