Repotting Orchids with big root systems - Discussion on cutting roots

Today we take a look at a new Oncidium type orchid with quite the extensive root system and see how to properly repot it!

When receiving a new orchid it's always a great idea to repot it sooner rather than later. Some orchids are just a pain to repot though, especially orchids with extensive root systems!

Rather than saving all the roots, which might not still be in good condition, I like to remove the oldest roots, no matter the state they are when I repot the orchid.
