Splatissimo - Symphony Op. 1 No. 1 in D Minor: Movt. II: Adagio Cantabile

I'm finally back with the second movement! And man, was this quite the adventurous and painful one to write!
Again, thanks to ‪@rapid4211‬ for providing the Muse Sounds and the recording! This was quite a challenging movement to write, having scrapped over 20 different and unique ideas in the process. I was going for a mix of Mahler's Adagietto (as you can hear in the beginning) and Rachmaninoff's second symphony third movement (Which you can hear a resemblance at 14:19). Many (and I mean many!) ideas have been scrapped along the way, many of which being accidental copying or blatant ripoffs of other composers (at some point it sounded like Jacob Collier, lmfaoo). However, I've finally finished it here, so enjoy!
