Largemouth Fly Fishing: A Local Lake Expedition, if you are a fly angler and you aren’t completely stuck on trout, chances are there is a local lake close to home where you can fly fish for largemouth bass. Best of all-in all likelyhood you will be the only fly angler out there! Join me on a fly fishing expedition to a local lake in pursuit of largemouths. This fishing involves precision casting to docks and cover while fly fishing poppers, skills that translate well to fishing for other species.

It doesn’t take sophisticated gear to do this, any 6-8 weight rod, a simple hand tied leader, and a handfull of flies are all you need. I have a 15.5 foot small bass boat, but any boat will do, including canoes and kayaks.
