Chicken kababs are delicious and relatively easy to make. Here's a basic recipe for chicken kababs:
Ingredients:
500g boneless chicken, cut into cubes
1 cup plain yogurt
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon ginger paste
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
Salt to taste
Skewers (if using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning)
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix together the yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, ginger paste, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt.
Add the chicken cubes to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If you're using an oven, preheat it to 200°C (400°F).
Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
If you're grilling, place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred on the outside.
If you're using an oven, place the skewers on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and slightly browned.
Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill or oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serve the chicken kababs hot with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside some rice and salad.
