How to clean your arcade video game PCB boards & CRT chassis:
1) Remove any batteries, ROMS etc from the board.
2) Mix a little bowl of water with Ultra Dawn liquid dishwashing soap or Simple Green concentrated. *Do not use any other type of liquid soap, Ultra Dawn is used for its specific ingredients.
3) Using a soft brush, clean the PCB using the soapy water.
4) Rince the PCB very well using hot water, multiple times. Shake the board a little bit to let most of the water drip.
5) Using an air compressor and gun, blow all the remaining water from the PCB for several minutes.
6) Store the PCBs vertically and let them dry for a day or 2.
It's important to keep your board clean, having any accumulation of dust in a slightly humid environment will lead to serious corrosion issues which can completely ruin your PCB.
We recommend cleaning them, then storing them using anti-static bubble bags. The free large Fedex shipping boxes are also perfect to store most pcbs.
