FSD Beta 12.3 goes to Disney World

With the release of FSD Beta v12, I wanted to take FSD Beta back to Walt Disney World as a follow up/comparison to the previous video I did back in October, 2021 on v10, and March 25th, 2023 on v11. As a whole, FSD Beta 12.3 shows great improvement, but where it failed, I found it surprising, and disappointing.

00:00 - The Beginning/Intro
01:28 - Changes into a merge lane that ends. This is a common theme for this drive.
02:50 - Road logic is, essentially, still the same. Once I pass the blinking yellow lights, the "auto speed" goes away because World Dr is considered a "highway". When the car says "Max | Auto" it's v12, when it has a number, it's stepped for to an "improved" v11.
07:18 - One of the reasons why I do some testing on Disney property. Tourist cuts across the grass to perform a U-turn.
07:55 - Tesla gets over two lanes, it's a little rough, but solid.
11:47 - Regression - v10, and v11, both remained in the correct lane, though v10 slammed the brakes, and v11 handled it fine. v12 drifts into the left turn lane, and tries to continue straight from there.
13:04 - Slows for multiple speed bumps
13:50 - Is slow to proceed with right turn at stop sign with clear visibility, likely due to truck across the way not actually stopping.
19:58 - Tesla needs to be in right lane, and it gets really close to the right lane marker before committing to getting into the right lane. Felt sloppy.
23:41 - Correctly slows to get behind white SUV, despite the white SUV not maintaining their lane properly.
26:56 - Tesla seems to see this intersection as traffic from the right needing to stop, when it doesn't.
28:45 - Disengagement - Car correctly slows for speed bump, then accelerators into the second speed bump, requiring me to take control and slow down again.
33:07 - Intervention - Slow to proceed at green due to pedestrians at the cross walk. There was a vehicle behind me, so I hit the accelerator to get it going.
36:00 - Disengagement - Tesla is not required to stop here, when I pressed accelerator to get it to go, it felt like it was going to hit the poles across from it due to indecisiveness of which direction it should go.
37:03 - Intervention - Pass a 40mph sign that the car did not register, requiring me to hold the accelerator down to avoid doing 25 in a 40, which is hazardous.
49:03 - Successfully gets into the right lane earlier than necessary to merge back onto World Dr in a mile. This is an improvement over v10 and v11.
54:00 - I disagree with this lane change decision.
58:14 - Disengagement - I remove a waypoint in order to encourage the Tesla to do a U-turn, however, I do so when the road opens up, and it incorrectly tries to get into a right lane that ends with PVC gate doors. FSD Beta correctly stops, but is unable to proceed, so I take over and correct.
01:00:07 - Testing whether the car stops for the Goofy Disney Vacation Club minivan ad. It successfully ignores it and keeps moving on.
01:02:26 - v11 brakes really hard taking this turn, however, v12 performed just fine.
01:06:58 - Slow to get into left turn lane, despite there being plenty of time and opportunity.
01:13:21 - Incorrectly gets into a merge lane, only to have to leave it again
01:15:30 - The end/Outro

Overall, much smoother than v11, however, there was one regression, and it appears to still struggle with non-standard intersections. Also doesn't seem to like waypoints being removed while in transit.

Better overall, but not quite there yet.
