Join Robin Shuckburgh as he explored the village of Bampton, which became 'Downton' in the highly acclaimed TV show 'Downton Abbey', starring the likes of Hugh Bonneville and Maggie Smith.
We explore the Church used in the filming of Downton, the Grammar School used as the Hospital, the Pub, the Post Office, Churchgate House used as Isobel Crawley's house and the village square.
In this first episode we give an overview of all the locations used in Bampton, with a view to producing an entire series, with an episode on each building.
