The Holstein Campaign is unarguably one of the least well known campaigns of the Great Northern War, particularly in the Anglosphere. This is somewhat surprising, considering the international makeup of the intervention army representing one side of the conflict, but is likely due to the fact the campaign itself never amounted to anything major from either party. For a wargamer however, it provides an interesting playground of 'what if' battles, as armies maneuvered the Southern Jutland peninsula.
The primary source material used for these Holstein Campaign videos is 'KONG FREDERIK IV's FØRSTE KAMP OM SØNDERJYLLAND', the first book of a Danish history of the Great Northern War from the early 1900s. The entire book series is available from the Danish marine historical society's website: https://marinehist.dk/?page_id=2845
