ISOMETRIC DRAWING
An isometric drawing is a type of 3D representation of an object on a 2D surface, where the object’s dimensions are drawn along three isometric axes at 120° to each other. This method provides a clear and realistic view of an object while maintaining proportionality.

Key Features of Isometric Drawing:
1. Equal Angles: The three principal axes (X, Y, Z) are 120° apart.

2. True Dimensions: Unlike isometric projection, an isometric drawing represents objects at full scale (1:1 ratio).

3. No Perspective Distortion: Parallel edges remain parallel, making it easier to interpret than perspective drawings.

4. Used in Technical and Engineering Drawings for mechanical parts, piping layouts, and architectural designs.

The DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ISOMETRIC VIEW & ISOMETRIC PROJECTION lies in their scale and representation. Isometric view is a 3D representation of an object where all dimensions are drawn at full scale (1:1 ratio) along isometric axes, maintaining true size. In contrast, isometric projection reduces the dimensions by approximately 81.5% (0.815:1 scale) due to foreshortening, making the object appear slightly smaller. Isometric view is commonly used for visualization and presentation, while isometric projection is used in technical drawings for accurate representation. Both methods maintain 120° angles between the axes, ensuring a proportional but simplified 3D depiction.
