Jagjit Singh was an 8-year-old boy on a Sentosa cable car ride with his family when a vessel struck the ropeway on Jan 29, 1983. He watched as the impact flung three of his seven family members out of their cabin into the sea 55m below, and left him and the others stranded for hours.
