Colon cancer also called large gut cancer affects around 2 million people across the globe yearly.
This is also called colorectal cancer as along colon which is famously known as large gut ,the rectum which is last part of gastrointestinal tract is also sometimes affected.
There are certain risk factors like increasing age,smoking,alcohol,family history and unbalanced dietary habits which may put a person at a higher risk to develop this ominous cancer.
There are certain signs and symptoms which your doctor needs to evaluate for and these include following
.unexplained weight loss
.chronic abdominal pain
.altered bowel habits
.anaemia etc
