AGV Cell Laser Scanning

PMC completed a high-precision laser scan of a 5,000-square-foot AGV cell for a global technology leader, working under a tight project timeline. From start to finish, the project took less than a week and a half. Using NavVis technology, we captured detailed spatial data and developed a Revit model combining LOD 200 for the building structure and LOD 300 for the equipment. Custom Revit families were created to accurately represent all major assets, supporting both layout validation and future modifications.

As part of an MEP BIM project, the final deliverable — a fully constructed, data-rich model — provided the client with a highly accurate foundation for system planning and layout optimization. With the as-built conditions precisely documented, the team could test different configurations, identify potential bottlenecks, and make informed decisions without interrupting operations. By utilizing simulation modeling and integrating real-world laser scan data into a simulation-ready environment, PMC helped the client reduce project risk, accelerate planning timelines, and create a more flexible, reliable facility design.
