This is an arrangement of "Laboratory Ruins," the fourth stage's BGM from Sunsoft's 1989 NES game Batman. I have arranged it for native playback on SNES hardware, and the audio was recorded directly from a launch-model SNES console.
How cool were those Joker TVs in the background? Maybe the reason the music is so dramatic is because Batman is feeling angrily awkward at being watched by so many screens. I dunno, but I do know that it's cool.
