I couldn’t visit Cardiff without ensuring I got to a local parkrun on the Saturday - Storm Amy seen off most Parkruns in Northern Ireland and many in Wales, but luckily, the coastal Barry Island Parkrun, and the wonderful volunteers, braved the elements to put on the weekly 5k - the undulating route and the very changeable conditions did nothing to dampen the spirits through - brilliant event, really enjoyed this one - finally then, onto the small but effective Cardiff Half marathon expo village, ahead of race day.
