1 Tesla Powerwall 3 has a capacity of 13.5kWh with a hybrid inverter rated at 11.5kW continuous power output with an LRA surge power rating up to 185. One Powerwall 3 should be fine for most homes with a 7kW solar system or less. When you get between 7-10kW systems, you're in the gray area and can go either way depending on your unique circumstances and goals. If you have over a 10kW solar system, you'll be looking at 2 Powerwall 3s in the majority of situations. Hope that helps! That is a very basic rule of thumb which does get broken often so reach out for a detailed answer for you.
One of the most common confusions I see consumers facing is the question of how much battery storage is necessary. All the time I have people requesting quotes for systems that do not have a ratio of solar to battery that will result in what they are looking to achieve.
