Have you ever been part of a church with too many rules?
When I was a child, you couldn’t touch the communion table, you had to raise your pinky to be excused, and you better not shout before the “appropriate” age — or they’d sit you down.
But there’s someone in the Bible who didn’t follow a single rule… and Jesus still welcomed him.
The thief on the cross.
No baptism. No communion. No sinner’s prayer. No “church clothes.”
And still, Jesus said, “Today you will be with me in paradise.”
Beloved, we must be careful not to put barriers between people and God’s love. The way to the Savior isn’t through rules — it’s through belief.
