As these vehicles get older and more affordable, I thought it would be useful to give a quick breakdown of the maintenance costs during my first year of owning my 2010 BMW E91 328i (xDrive). Yes I spent a good bit on maintenance. However, a lot of the parts that were replaced were not necessary and a lot of this can be considered preventative maintenance. That being said, higher mileage BMW's aren't cheap to maintain and this would certainly be 2-3x the price if I did not do the work myself. Hope this is informative for anyone looking to buy these cars.
